A Quick Blog Post On Why Lagos State Is Flooded

Lagos is the commercial centre of Nigeria, therefore attracting a large amount of residents, increasing consumption of goods and creating lots waste product.

Waste products are to be disposed properly by a sector of the state government called LAWMA (aka PSP). But report has it that all dunghill sites in Lagos State are filled with no more room to accommodate waste products.

Therefore, most areas in Lagos are heaped with waste products, which flows into the drainage system when it rains, creating blockages and causing flood, especially in market areas.

So what’s the solution? Create more land space for dunghill? No! We need to adopt the Biogas Digesting system. This is the recycling process of converting agricultural waste (food) or manure into energy (cooking gas).

This will not only provide a solution to the blockages in the drainage system due to bad waste disposal, but also trigger a competitive market with the gas crude oil by product, thereby creating affordability of cooking gas.
