BECOMING A LANDLORD

Finding comfort in an uncomfortable zone is like denying yourself the freedom of choice. We need to understand that we are the architect of our life, where you are today or where you’ll be tomorrow depends on the choice you make, and you are sure to make the right choice once you discover your true self.
Most Landlords today where once a tenant but one day they arose from their slumber and decided to work towards becoming what they are, some started small and are now owners of properties. This is the secret “they think big, start small and start now!” Killing the procrastination, fear, critic and taking a step to their goal, made them who they are today.
Now my question is………….. Why aren’t you a Landlord??? What’s the excuse??? Why are you still a tenant???
Procrastination “oh, I’ll definitely become a Landlord one day, what’s the rush? After all my Landlord isn’t chasing me out, he/she is very nice and I don’t owe rent” hmmm…….. Your case is in court.
Fear of improper land documentation, Government acquired properties, Omonile wahala…
Finance “but I’m still a monthly salary earner, let me manage in my one bedroom apartment it’s just N250,000 per annum” hmmm…….. SMH.
Critic from family and friends or even yourself.
Note, nobody is too young or too old to become a Landlord.
Please feel free to comment your opinion or situation on why you aren’t a Landlord yet, there’s always a suggested solution in every situation, and if you are already a Landlord please feel free to drop your words of encouragement, how the process was and how it felt like holding the keys to your own house.
No knowledge is a waste.

  2. I'm a Realtor and a landlord myself.
I will say owning a piece of property opens you to countless opportunities you never thought possible. For example, you want to start a lucrative money spinning business that would thrive speedily and you need a loam; one of the factors that would contribute to getting that loam is that you are a property owner. I will state more possible instances in my subsequent visits. Lastly, there's a law of attraction that states that Money gravitates towards places where it is most wisely spent. . . . there's just a way money flows in your direction the moment you decide to invest wisely, this is not unconnected with the emotional wellbeing you seem to exude when you say "I will buy a plot of Land" and you actually buy it.
